Steven Zhang combines competitive golf experience, modern swing analysis and developmental psychology to support junior players. He is pursuing a Master of Education at the University of Toronto’s OISE and holds CGTF, TPI and Foresight Sports PEAK certifications.
About Steven Zhang
Steven Zhang began structured golf training as a junior under the guidance of a former professional golfer, building a strong foundation in technique and competitive play. He has led junior teams at events including the China Junior Golf Team Invitational Tour, gaining practical experience in tournament preparation and player development.
Steven is currently pursuing a Master of Education in Developmental Psychology and Education at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE), University of Toronto. He holds certifications from CGTF, TPI and Foresight Sports PEAK, with a focus on golf biomechanics, swing analysis and player development.
Steven believes effective junior coaching starts with understanding how young athletes grow, learn and respond to challenges. Combining developmental psychology with modern golf technology, he adapts training to each player’s physical abilities, learning style and potential. His goal is to improve performance while helping young golfers develop confidence, independent thinking and resilience for long-term growth on and off the course.
